Black metal from Russia, full-length discography of two albums released in 2006 and 2011.
Calling your music post black metal might be a good way to separate yourself from the rest. At least if you got the music to back it up. I don’t know if Russian Nabaath qualifies, since their debut album “Back Of Beyond” – originally released in 2006 – sounds like an ordinary black metal to me.
Nabaath seems to draw influence from the 90’s black metal. They have a good drummer, fast thundering songs and plenty of guitar melodies, which sometimes remind me Dissection. The songs are simple, aggressive and extra colours are kept to minimum. Intro track contains some acoustic, haunting and eerie stuff, but most of the music is built on sharp concrete and rusty nails.
Formed in 2002, Nabaath has been around for a while now. They have created a well-produced and well-played piece of thrashing black metal, but nothing more. Lasting just 35 minutes, “Back Of Beyond” is easy to digest and overall a promising debut full-length. Check out their homepage for full downloads if fast, melodic but harsh black metal rocks your boat.
