Alternative rock from USA, debut full-length album released in 2007.
Louisville, KY, September 2, Louisville based heavy rock band (intheclear) recently released their debut EP, Dirty Cheese and The Hoodie Thieves EP, which was recorded with acclaimed producer Malcolm Springer (Full Devil Jacket, Greenwheel, Sinch). Springer was able to capture the energy and passion of (intheclear)’s live show, which has been the band’s trademark since forming in 2003. “One of the most talented and intense live acts I have ever witnessed on stage. Absolute raw energy.” says John Johans of Fifth Tier Entertainment
Dirty Cheese and the Hoodie Thieves EP is a 6-song collection that combines the sheer vocal power and songwriting depth of lead vocalist Andy Paul, along with the aggressive yet emotive backing of guitarist Clay Cook, bassist Corey Heim, drummer John Stemmle and lead guitarist Brandon Sidebottom. With songs like “True”, “A Pulse and a Blindside”, and “Love, Chinese Style”, (intheclear) is clearly a young band on the verge of some big things. Musically they are most often compared to A Perfect Circle, Deftones, Sevendust, Taproot, and Incubus, but the band’s influences are drawn from a wider scope that includes U2, Joe Satriani and Jeff Buckley.
(intheclear) has been touring throughout the Midwest for the past two years, sharing the stage with such notable acts as Staind, Hurt, Hawthorne Heights, Three Days Grace, Head Automatica, Rock Kills Kid, Days of the New, Chevelle, Flaw, Sevendust, ill nino, Finger Eleven, Chronic Future, and Greenwheel. They recently won WLRS’s summer-long battle of the bands, and in the process received a main-stage slot at LRSFest in 2004. (intheclear) is regularly spun on WTFX 93.1 & WLRS 105.1, the latter of which they are regularly in the top five most requested songs.
“Once in a while a band emerges from the vast and often mediocre plains of the underground original music genre. A band with youth, talent, conviction, long hair and that certain spark that sends chills to the bone and vibrations to the pockets of record companies. There are many unsigned bands out there and this is the story of one of them.”
Intense … raw … energy; this is (intheclear). Armed with their debut album, (intheclear) set about building a vicious fan base and touring base over the course of their first two years. From sharing the stage with national touring acts like Staind, to headlining festivals, (intheclear) has proven that they absolutely thrive in the live environment. The emotion exuded from the band on stage and in concert is what keeps the (intheclear) fan base fevered and continually expanding. New market after new market, this band continues to dominate their challenges.
